Hi there. I’m Sharmin, a NYC based software engineer specializing in modern web development technologies.
I completed two years of a Computer Science degree at NYU and after working in marketing and product development for 4 years, went on to round out my education in Software Development at the Grace Hopper Program. I love tackling tough problems and creating pixel-perfect, responsive user experiences.
When I’m not coding, I'll be hiking 🚶♀️, biking 🚴♀️, or climbing 🧗♀️.

Things I've Built
License To Drift
A travel recommendation engine that returns destinations and events that might be of interest to you based on your travel preferences.
I used React and Styled Components to create reusable, responsive components to be used on static pages and a multi-stage onboarding flow.
Freshly
A mobile app that allows users to log their groceries and reduce food waste by tracking expiration dates and suggesting recipes
Freshly is powered by React Native and Node.js. It also integrates with the Google Cloud Vision API to identify images of food.
My Professional Experience
Product Developer
January 2019 - September 2019
- Led the research and development of a scalable, online course on an accelerated timeline which generated $200K within 4 days of being released
- Conducted customer research, SME interviews, and competitive analysis to uncover insights that were utilized to position and concept the Money Mindsets product
